Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CSL employees must have completed the CSL Plasma DST training.
• External candidates must have a minimum of 6 months' experience as a phlebotomist; 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis procedures and plasma collection per SOPs, including donor setup and monitoring.
• Perform venipuncture to begin pheresis per FDA guidelines.
• Evaluate vein performance and make adjustments to expedite donation and ensure safety.
• Educate donors on the donation process, testing, policies and safety.
• Monitor donors for reactions and assist or notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data in the PDA and donor information system.
• Maintain equipment and work environment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Cross-train in other areas as needed by the business.
