Job summary

Wastequip Mount Sterling is seeking an experienced Plasma cutter operator to join our manufacturing team in the Garbage Truck/Container division. You will load the cutting table, set parameters, and cut various thicknesses from 0.078” to 3.5” plate steel and aluminum while ensuring quality and efficiency.

Shift is 3:00PM–11:30PM with pay $22.75 plus $2 shift differential. Candidates should have 3–5 years of operation experience, be able to read prints with calipers, and work well alone or in a

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Plasma Cutter operation and setup experience.
• Ability to read and interpret prints and use measuring devices.
• Willingness to work overtime and adapt to team or solo work.
• Capable of maintaining quality and efficiency during machining.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Plasma cutting table for 0.078”–3.5” plate steel/aluminum.
• Change consumables and monitor torch heat, pierce rate, and cut quality.
• Unload and handle parts with overhead/crane/lifting equipment; deburr and inspect parts.
• Perform routine maintenance and keep operator logs.
