Job summary

Wastequip Mount Sterling is seeking an experienced Industrial Band Saw operator to join our manufacturing team. You will set up and operate a mid-sized band saw to cut steel tube, aluminum/steel flat bar, and various plastics for the machining department.

The role offers hourly pay of $22.75/hr plus a $2/hr shift differential for 2nd shift, with opportunities to contribute to production processes and quality checks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience operating and setting up saws.
• Ability to read basic prints and use calipers or rulers.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Saw operation: set up the machine and cut to specified lengths.
• Material handling: unload, stack onto pallets, and scrap unusable ends.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspection using calipers and tape measure.
• Complete all required production paperwork.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
