Job summary

Wastequip is seeking an experienced Industrial Band Saw operator in Kentucky to join our manufacturing team. You will set up and operate a mid-sized band saw to cut steel tube, aluminum/steel flat bar, and plastics for our machining department.

Responsibilities include blade changes, quality control, unloading and stacking parts, and basic maintenance. Must be able to read blueprints and use measuring tools; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ operating and setting up a saw.
• Ability to use rulers and calipers and read blueprints.
• Capable of working alone or in a team and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the band saw to cut steel tube, aluminum/steel flat bar and plastics to blueprint specs.
• Change blades, monitor quality, unload parts, and stack onto pallets.
• Perform first-piece inspections and maintain machine including coolant and hydraulics.
• Complete production paperwork and assist supervisor as needed.

Job Description:WQ Mount Sterling is looking for an experienced Industrial Band Saw operator. You will be joining a skilled manufacturing Team working in the Garbage Truck/Container industry. This role will involve setting up and operating our Mid-Sized Band Saw we use to cut Steel Tube, Aluminum/Steel Flat Bar as well as several different Plastics for our machining department. You will be responsible for changing blades on the machine, ensuring quality and efficiency throughout the machining process.Hourly Pay: $22.75/hr + $2/hr shift differential for being on 2ndKey ResponsibilitiesSaw Operation: Sets up machine by retrieving the correct material the print has called for then cutting to the specified lengths.Material Handling: Unloads parts as they are cut and stacks onto pallets as well as recording and scraping out ends that are unusable.
