Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking qualified health professionals to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and provide emergency medical care when needed. You will interview donors, review medical histories, and determine eligibility for donation in collaboration with the Center Medical Director.

Responsibilities include assessing test results, counseling donors on reactive findings, and following SOPs while escalating critical situations to the Center Physician or local medical

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from a foreign medical school, must be licensed or certified.
• For NY: current RN/MD/DO licensure or reciprocal state certification.
• Minimum of 1 year in a health care environment.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated apheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.
• Interview donors and review medical history to determine suitability.
• Consult Center Medical Director on donor suitability questions.
• Review test results to determine continued donor suitability and assess symptoms.
• Notify and counsel donors on reactive tests and refer for follow-up.
• Follow SOPs for routine care and escalate critical cases to physicians as needed.
