Job summary

CSL in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and provide limited emergency medical care. You will interview donors, review medical history, and determine suitability to donate while following SOPs.

Additionally, you will respond to medical questions, review test results, counsel donors on reactive results, and escalate critical cases to the Center Physician as required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from a foreign medical school, must be licensed or certified for practice.
• Minimum of one year of relevant healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure.
• Interview donors and review medical history to determine suitability to donate.
• Respond to medically related questions and advise staff on donor suitability.
• Review test results and assess continued donor suitability; identify symptoms preventing donation.
• Notify and counsel donors on reactive test results and refer for follow-up.
• Provide routine care following SOPs and escalate critical situations to physicians.
