Job summary

CSL Plasma in Spokane, WA is seeking a Full Time Plasma Donor Services Technician to perform venipuncture and monitor the pheresis process, ensuring donor safety and product quality per SOPs.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 12 months in a medical/healthcare setting; CA centers may require Phlebotomy Technician I certification or RN licensure where applicable. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum twelve (12) months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for efficient plasma collection from donors by performing venipuncture and monitoring the pheresis process per SOPs.
• Perform all aspects of pheresis procedure including donor setup, monitoring and disconnect in compliance with SOPs.
• Venipuncture to initiate pheresis per FDA guidelines and ensure donor safety and product quality.
• Assess donor vein performance, expedite donation time, and maintain donor experience.
• Educate donors on plasma products, screening, appointment system, fees, center policies, and nutrition as needed.
• Monitor for donor reactions, assist or report to staff as required.
• Use PDA to log incidents during pheresis (alarms, volume variances, adverse events).
• Calibrate and verify maintenance as per SOPs; address complex alarms or donor issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment, document incidents, and perform equipment replacements as needed.
• Monitor donor flow and alert supervisor to flow issues; collect arm or whole blood samples for testing.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
• Adhere to HSE and OSHA policies; maintain confidentiality and a clean work environment.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
