CSL Plasma in Columbia, SC is seeking a qualified healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff. You will interview donors, review medical histories, and determine eligibility to donate, escalating with the Center Medical Director as needed.

The role requires graduation from a paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, medical school, or naturopathic program, with at least one year in a healthcare

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from foreign allopathic or osteopathic medical school, must also currently be licensed as a physician or state certification as an emergency medical technician.
• Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience in a health care environment.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to make and analyze a physical assessment of heart, lung sounds, signs of drug use, etc.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure or certification.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine donor suitability.
• Collaborate with Center Medical Director to address medically related questions on donor suitability.
• Review test results to determine continued donor suitability; assess donor symptoms affecting donation.
