Qualifications

• Experience operating plasma-cutting equipment or similar metal-cutting machinery.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proven mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Physically able to lift and move materials as needed.
• Enrollment in a registered apprenticeship program at onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate plasma cutting equipment to cut metal materials to precise dimensions and shapes.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine cutting requirements.
• Adjust machine settings such as cutting speed, gas flow, and torch height to optimize cutting performance.
• Monitor cutting processes to ensure the accuracy and quality of cut pieces.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on the plasma-cutting equipment.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
• Operate overhead crane, forklift, or sideloader to move material as needed.
• Pull and stage feedstock for production orders.
• Confirm work orders in the computer system.
