Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Indianapolis, IN, seeks a Plasma Center Nurse (RN/NP/PA) to determine donor eligibility and manage donor safety at the center. You will review test results, respond to donor reactions, and coordinate with the Center Physician for medical issues in a fast-paced donation environment.

Required licenses (RN/NP/PA), CPR/AED, and state IV therapy compliance; minimum two years clinical/hospital experience. This role offers a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits at BioLife.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Licensed or certified in the state of responsibility: RN, NP or PA.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, medical history interview and acceptance requirements.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical guidance.
• Support vaccination programs and occupational health processes; assist with safety.
