Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Largo, FL, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, and review test results under physician guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus completion of a state-recognized nursing program.
• Current LPN/LVN license in the practicing state.
• CPR and AED certification.
• At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training completed.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, medical history, exam and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and ensure donor safety.
• Follow SOPs for medical emergencies and transport donors as needed.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and participate in pandemic response when authorized.
