Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with nursing program completion.
• Currently licensed or certified as EMT-Paramedic in the applicable state.
• CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion and medical history interview.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
