BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) in Bismarck, ND. You will determine donor eligibility, manage adverse donor events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable results.

You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician for medical guidance and regulatory compliance. Requirements include EMT-Paramedic license, CPR/AED, basic IV therapy; two years in clinical settings; FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program completion.
• Licensed/Certified EMT-Paramedic in the applicable state.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• State requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsabilités

• Determine donor eligibility including consent, medical history, testing and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reaction(s) as per SOPs.
• Follow SOPs for medical emergencies and arrange center physician orders.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance; escalate as needed.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations.
