Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) in a part-time role in Bismarck, ND. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

Requirements include EMT-Paramedic license, CPR/AED certification, basic IV therapy authorization, and at least two years in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold state EMT-Paramedic license/certification.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, physical exam, SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer complex medical issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS as needed.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations.
