Job summary

CSL Plasma in Chicago, IL seeks a medical staff member to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis and provide limited emergency care to donors and staff. You will interview donors, review medical histories, and collaborate with the Center Medical Director on medical questions.

You will monitor test results to decide if donors remain eligible and counsel on reactive findings, escalating critical cases to physicians as needed, following SOPs and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have formal paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school, or naturopathic training.
• State licensure or certification requirements if graduation from foreign medical schools apply.
• Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures under supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure.
• Interview donors and review medical history for donation eligibility.
• Respond to medically related questions with Center Medical Director.
• Review tests to determine continued donor suitability and counsel on reactive results.
• Escalate critical medical situations to Center Physician or local providers.
