Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking qualified professionals to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis and to provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff. You will interview donors, review medical histories, and collaborate with the Center Medical Director on donor questions.

You will also review test results to determine continued suitability, counsel donors on reactive results, and follow SOPs while escalating critical situations to physicians as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic program.
• If foreign medical grad, must be licensed as a physician or state EMT certification.
• Minimum of one year relevant healthcare experience.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff including administering medication per licensure.
• Interview donors and review medical history to determine donation suitability.
• Coordinate with Center Medical Director on donor information and questions.
• Review test results to determine continued donor suitability and assess symptoms.
• Notify and counsel donors about reactive results and refer for follow-up.
• Provide routine care following SOPs and escalate critical situations to the Center Physician.

Education

Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program
