Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Saint Ann, MO is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review tests, and ensure donor safety under Center Manager guidance and Center Physician supervision.

Qualifications

• State license as LPN or LVN in the responsible state.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist completed.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, history, and acceptance requirements.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER as needed.
• Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations.
