CSL Plasma in Vancouver, WA is seeking a health-care professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and administer approved immunizations beyond blood products. You will report to the Center Manager and provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.

The role involves conducting donor interviews, reviewing medical history, assessing test results, counseling on reactive tests, and ensuring donor data is accurately recorded. CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from a foreign allopathic or osteopathic medical school, must also currently be licensed as a physician or state certification as an emergency medical technician.
• CPR Certification Required.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in a health care environment.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred.

Responsabilités

• Promotes positive customer relations with all donors.
• Conducts confidential and effective interviews with donors to obtain information regarding suitability to donate plasma.
• Responds to medically related questions from staff and informs on donor suitability.
• Performs medical history reviews and health assessments on donors.
• Assesses results of donor screening and laboratory tests to determine donor suitability.
• Notifies and counsels donors regarding reactive test results.
• Explains informed consent and immunization schedules to donor applicants.
• Handles medical emergencies at the Center and follows SOPs.
• Maintains donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Follows Health Safety & Environmental and OSHA policies and procedures.
