Job summary

Deister Machine Company is seeking a Plasma Burn Table Coordinator to oversee all plasma burn table operations including programming, scheduling, production execution, and quality control. You will coordinate with engineering, production planning, and maintenance to meet delivery requirements and ensure safety and quality standards.

The role requires proficiency in CAD/CAM software, nesting, blueprints, and strong leadership to drive continuous improvement and efficient production.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC plasma cutting operations.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of nesting software, material properties, and cutting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Program, review, and optimize CNC plasma programs from drawings, CAD/CAM models, and production requirements.
• Nest parts for material optimization and minimal waste.
• Verify machine parameters, tooling, and cutting paths for accuracy.
• Schedule and prioritize plasma burn table jobs to meet deadlines and production targets.
• Monitor production output, troubleshoot issues, and adjust programs or processes as needed.
• Ensure parts meet dimensional tolerances, quality standards, and customer specifications.
• Act as primary liaison between engineering, production planning, and shop floor operators; communicate status and metrics.
• Provide training and guidance to operators on machine operation and best practices.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in programming, material utilization, and cutting efficiency.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and assist with equipment troubleshooting.
