Job summary

Moon Valley Nurseries is seeking an experienced Planting Crew Backup Driver in Santa Rosa, CA for full-time work. You will install trees and plants, assist with planting operations and support daily field tasks alongside the planting crew.

A valid driver's license with an acceptable MVR is required, and you must be able to perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, site preparation, safety compliance, and helping drive

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous landscaping, horticulture, planting or outdoor labor experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR required.
• Ability to operate company vehicles; experience with larger trucks preferred.
• Physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Weekend and varying schedule flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Install trees, shrubs and plants according to plans and standards.
• Ensure proper planting depth, spacing, fertilization and alignment.
• Assist with digging, staking, backfilling and site cleanup.
• Load/unload materials safely and keep work areas organized.
• Follow PPE and safety procedures and utility markings.
• Support daily workflow and collaborate with crew to meet schedule.
• Operate trucks and transport crew/materials when assigned.

Education

Highschool Diploma or equivalent

Landscaping and outdoor labor

Valid driver’s license with MVR

Operate company vehicles (larger trucks preferred)

Physical stamina for outdoor work

Teamwork and communication
