Job summary

MCCORKLE NURSERIES INC is seeking an experienced Direct Operations Laborer/Driver in Rock Hill, SC. The role emphasizes loading/unloading plant materials, customer interactions, and safe, accurate handling of orders for outbound shipments and inbound deliveries.

Secondary duties include timely delivery or pickup on routes, paperwork accuracy, and maintaining professional standards on and off the yard. A valid CDL, DOT health card, and one year of safe driving are preferred.

Qualifications

Fluent English required; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Valid driver license and active DOT health card required.
Experience driving a 26' straight truck is required.
Strong customer service and communication skills expected.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Receive, unload, count, position, and maintain all plants and materials in the sales yard.
Serve customers in the yard and build relationships with foremen and crews.
Select and stage orders for customers and load sales orders onto trucks for delivery or pickup.
Ensure accurate paperwork during loading/unloading and maintain safe work practices.
Operate vehicles and MHE as required and maintain driver inspections per DOT rules.
Perform other duties to support team operations and deliver excellent service.
