Job summary

MCCORKLE NURSERIES INC in Piedmont, SC is seeking an experienced Direct Operations Laborer/Driver to thrive in a fast-paced nursery setting. The role focuses on loading/unloading plant material, driving routes, and providing excellent customer service.

You will operate trucks and MHE per OSHA/DOT rules, assist with yard maintenance, and support deliveries and pickups with accurate paperwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Fluent English; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Valid state driver's license and a DOT health card.
• Experience driving a 26' straight truck (one year preferred).
• Knowledge of DOT hours of service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, count, and position plants and materials in the yard.
• Load orders onto trucks for delivery/pick-up and audit paperwork.
• Deliver or pickup products on routes; ensure accurate paperwork.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients.
• Operate MHE and vehicles safely under OSHA/DOT guidelines.
