Job summary

Star Nursery, Inc. is seeking Rock Yard CDL Drivers to support our customer service delivery for residential and commercial customers. You will deliver rock and soil materials to neighborhoods and construction sites, while maintaining safe loading, unloading, and on‑time service standards.

The role emphasizes safe driving, adherence to Star Nursery policies, and teamwork in all weather conditions. A Class A or B CDL with a clean DMV record is required, along with DOT documents and prior CDL

Qualifications

• Must have CDL Class A or B license and a clean DMV record for the past 3 years.
• Must provide DOT required documents and pass pre-employment checks.
• 1 year of CDL driving experience preferred for rock/soil delivery.
• Ability to operate safely in all weather conditions and terrains.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rock and soil material to residential, business, and construction sites.
• Load and unload materials from dump truck and tarp as needed.
• Follow safety standards, policies, and road regulations.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure on‑time service and cost control.
• Contribute to a positive customer experience through professional conduct.

Our Rock Yard CDL Drivers are integral part of our Customer Service Delivery to Residential & Business customers. Our drivers deliver rock & soil material to neighborhoods, construction sites, & commercial businesses. Safe driving & Safe Loading/Unloading is essential. Product delivery is the final step in a happy customer experience, and our Rock Yard (CDL) drivers do that for us.

This safety sensitive position must take pride in providing quality customer service. Make deliveries in a safe and timely matter.

• Follows operations standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time service
• Follows policies in the areas of operations techniques, materials usage
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Loading and unloading rock/Soil material
• Following the rules of the road / Star Nursery’s Policies
• Delivering Decorative rock and soil Amendments

Requirements & Skills

• Ability to climb up and down from dump truck
• Ability to correctly tarp or adjust tarp on the tub if needed
• Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan in short- and long-term ranges
