Job summary

McCorkle Nurseries Inc is seeking a Direct Operations Laborer/ Driver to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include loading/unloading plant material, serving customers in the yard, and preparing orders for delivery or pickup.

You will also operate trucks and MHE with proper inspections and DOT compliance, while maintaining plant care and team communication. The role emphasizes safe practices, accurate paperwork, and strong customer service for both internal and external

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent desired.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

Receive, unload, count, position, and maintain all plants and materials in the sales yard.
Serve customers in the yard and build relationships with foremen and crews.
Select and stage orders for customers as directed by branch management and sales staff.
Load sales orders onto trucks for delivery/pick-up and audit material during loading/unloading.
Operate MNI Direct vehicles and MHE with required inspections and DOT paperwork.
Maintain safe work practices and proper radio communication.
Provide plant care such as space, pruning, weeding, fertilizing, and watering.
