Meyer Utility Structures (MUS), an Arcosa subsidiary, located in Clinton, IL, seeks a Plant Welding Technician to provide welding and technical support at the pole manufacturing plant. You will troubleshoot welding processes, drive improvements, and ensure procedure conformance while mentoring welders on the shop floor.

The role requires hands-on welding expertise, familiarity with FCAW, SAW, SMAW, and the ability to train others in safety, welding symbols, and quality acceptance criteria.

Qualifications

• First shift availability.
• 3–5 years FCAW, SAW, SMAW welding experience.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding procedure specification.
• Ability to read welding symbols, drawings, and work instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication; teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Provide welding support to production welders and supervision.
• Troubleshoot welding techniques and equipment issues.
• Maintain welder continuity and equipment calibration logs.
• Propose and implement welding process improvements.
• Conduct welding training on shop floor and classroom settings.
• Assist in qualifying welding procedure specifications as required.
• Oversee daily pole school operations and training records.
• Perform hands-on training for FCAW, SAW, SMAW, and cutting processes.
