Job summary

Slate is seeking a hands-on Plant Vehicle Engineer, Seat Complete & Restraints to support vehicle assembly, launch readiness, production quality, and continuous improvement for seat complete assemblies and restraint components.

You will work as the engineering link across functions, focusing on protecting product intent in the plant, resolving production issues, and driving root cause analysis to improve build quality in production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years automotive engineering/launch experience preferred.
• Experience with vehicle integration and production ramp.

Responsibilities

• Support launch and ongoing production of Seat Complete and Restraints systems in a vehicle assembly plant environment.
• Serve as technical contact for seat assemblies, belts, airbags, sensors, connectors, and vehicle integration.
• Investigate and resolve production issues; lead root cause analysis and containment actions.
• Collaborate with Design & Release Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Production, and Suppliers.
