Job summary

Antora Energy, Inc. is seeking a Plant Technician to operate and maintain thermal energy storage and boiler systems at our Pratt, Kansas site.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to safely install, commission, and operate first-of-a-kind industrial installations of the Antora thermal battery. This role demands a hands-on, safety-first approach and offers exposure across installation, commissioning, and day-to-day plant operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical training required.
• 3+ years of operations experience with control systems (DCS/SCADA/PLCs).
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations around hazardous energy and chemicals.
• Hands-on experience with test equipment and calibration tools.
• Solid understanding of steam boilers, generators, and auxiliary systems.
• Ability to perform inspections, startups/shutdowns, and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Operate boilers, generators, control systems, and balance-of-plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex problems with minimal supervision.
• Prioritize and manage tasks within a technical trade.
• Maintain SOPs and implement best practices.
• Conduct lockout/tagout, hot work permits, and job hazard analyses.
• Mentor team members and provide hands-on instruction.
• Diagnose and rebuild large industrial machinery.
• Maintain high safety and regulatory compliance.
