Job summary

Vistra is seeking a senior engineer to lead plant health initiatives and optimize performance across critical systems. The role engages with Plant Support Engineering on outage planning and ensures effective staff development and budgeting to achieve station goals.

The candidate will guide troubleshooting, prioritize actions, and coordinate large work-scope projects, aligning with Vistra's safety and efficiency targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or related Science degree.
• Detailed knowledge of power plant systems, including pumps, motors and auxiliaries.
• Knowledge of codes, standards and regulatory requirements for nuclear plants.
• Knowledge of planning, scheduling and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Manage activities of System Health Teams.
• Represent Plant Support Engineering on outage management teams.
• Direct monitoring of plant systems to optimize performance.
• Develop action plans and ensure completion of plant performance improvements.
• Coordinate staffing and staff development.
• Allocate personnel and budget to meet goals.
• Lead troubleshooting and decision making at the station.
