Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company seeks a Manager, Plant Support Engineering for the Davis-Besse site in Oak Harbor, OH. You will sponsor plant system health, lead engineers, and drive performance improvements to maximize station efficiency.

Responsibilities include coordinating System Health Team activities, outage support, budget management, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while delivering high-quality engineering deliverables and effective personnel development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical discipline; Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of power plant systems, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience providing technical leadership and supervision of engineering personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line leadership and supervision for the Plant Support Engineering team, ensuring alignment with plant priorities and safe, reliable operation.
• Manage and coordinate System Health Team activities, including identification, prioritization, and resolution of system and equipment performance issues.
• Represent Plant Support Engineering on outage management teams and cross-functional plant forums.
• Oversee monitoring, trending, and evaluation of plant systems, driving near- and long-term performance improvements.
• Develop and manage corrective and improvement action plans, ensuring timely completion and effective resolution of plant performance issues.
• Direct and prioritize daily work activities of individual contributors to meet plant, outage, and regulatory commitments.
• Coordinate staffing and resource assignments, including on-call support, outage coverage, and special project needs.
• Conduct performance management activities for individual contributors, including goal setting, performance reviews, coaching, and salary actions.
• Plan and coordinate large or complex engineering work scopes, task teams, and special projects involving multiple disciplines.
• Review, approve, and ensure quality of engineering products and work deliverables produced by the group.
• Manage assigned budget and resource utilization, ensuring engineering activities are completed efficiently and in support of department and site goals.
