Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company in Texas seeks an experienced engineer to drive development and implementation of generation technologies for Vistra operations and development projects. You will manage programs enhancing commercial availability of new tech and improving existing technologies.

Responsibilities include supporting Operations at plants, performing root cause analyses, and leading special projects.

Qualifications

• BS or greater in an Engineering discipline.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory, code and industry issues relevant to Vistra.
• Proficient with technical evaluation processes.
• Experience with fossil, solar, battery, or nuclear plant technologies.
• 8 years experience in power plant operations/engineering or related fields.
• Strong communication with peers and management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for new technology applications in commercial/environmental contexts.
• Support Operations in applying technologies at operating or developing plants.
• Perform root cause analysis.
• Develop innovative solutions for difficult problems.
• Contribute to economic justification and project analysis.
• Lead or participate in special projects or teams.
