Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Leads the daily work of the team, including scheduling staff, planning and assigning work, implementing policies and procedures
• Direct employees in meeting quality and on-time delivery requirements, addressing production challenges, and communicating issues to relevant managers
• Follow the dispatch due dates and send reports with updates on the end of your shift to your manager and plant manager
• Partner with production department in managing workflow and ensuring that employees understand their responsibilities and delegated tasks
• Lead 6S improvements with your manager and direct employees to reach the goal of 90 points
• Provides technical guidance to team members and consults with other resources when needed
• Communicates with the Manager regarding schedules and backlogs
• Assists the Manager with selection and performance management of employees and recommending compensation

Position Summary

The Plant Supervisor- Structural (3rd Shift 9:00pm-5:30am) supervises activities of shop employees, supports manufacturing, and safety objectives.

Ideal Candidate

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship
• Must be available to work on‑site daily in Hobart, Indiana
• Must be available to work 3rd shift hours 9:00pm-5:30am (Two Saturdays monthly will be required as well)
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, formulas, and data analysis tools
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high‑quality output
• A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration and reporting

Salary Range

$70,000.00–$90,000.00

• Maintain timekeeping and attendance records for your group using UKG
• Issue corrective actions for employees who are not adhering to company policies (safety, attendance etc)
• Ensures that employees are progressing on training plans to achieve higher levels of performance and production
• Evaluates employee performance
• Responsible for first line employee relations and resolution of issues within their departments
• Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures
• Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements
