Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Building Products Division seeks a Reliability Leader to enhance maintenance and operations at the Albany, GA lumber mill. You will drive a comprehensive Reliability program, develop inspection plans, and lead RCA/FMEA efforts to improve mechanical integrity and uptime.

The role requires a engineering background or equivalent experience, leadership capability, and collaboration with safety and environmental teams to implement best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher is required.
• 4+ years of maintenance/reliability experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
• Experience leading and/or supervising employees is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site's effort to build, implement, and manage a sustainable Maintenance Reliability program.
• Manage and prioritize fixed equipment efforts based on risk, value, compliance, and business needs.
• Develop inspection plans, maintenance strategies, and repair procedures for fixed equipment.
• Create and maintain short- and long-term plans for fixed equipment.
• Own tools and data related to fixed equipment inspection, testing and preventive maintenance.
• Apply best practices to standardize processes and execution of the fixed equipment program.
• Maintain metrics and review progress with site leaders on a regular cadence.
• Collaborate with safety, environmental, and business groups to align site capabilities.
• Provide engineering support for troubleshooting, cost estimation, and mechanical design solutions.
• Lead RCA and FMEA to identify root causes of mechanical issues.
• Participate in Asset Improvement Strategies to improve production and uptime.
• Lead and develop the site’s continuous improvement process.
