Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a McKinney Plant 5 Quality Manager to lead quality across aluminum and copper building wire operations in North America. You will manage a team, drive QMS, and ensure products meet specifications and customer expectations.

This senior role requires at least 3 years of manufacturing quality leadership, a technical degree, and strong knowledge of ASTM/UL/ICEA standards. You will collaborate with North America HQ and customers while promoting a robust quality culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; engineering preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience managing in a manufacturing facility.
• Mechanical engineering and/or metallurgy background preferred.
• Ability to understand and communicate customer technical needs.
• Wire and cable experience a plus; Six Sigma/ASQ certifications a plus.
• Proficient with a variety of software applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of quality technicians with coaching, performance management, and technical guidance.
• Ensure products conform to specifications and quality levels established by Prysmian and the customer.
• Develop and implement quality control standards, processes, and controls.
• Direct the implementation and maintenance of the Quality System.
• Lead quality process audits and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead system audits of McKinney's QMS.
• Lead product audits to meet standards and customer expectations by design, testing, or trials.
• Review and approve inspection plans and testing methods.
• Evaluate production capabilities through quality KPIs and drive CAPA with verification/validation.
• Recommend and implement improvements where necessary.
• Promote quality culture and cross-functional collaboration across the plant.
• Interact with customers on product, application, and technical nuances.
• Engage with North America HQ for periodic information exchanges.
• Walk the production floor to drive improvements and build alignment.
• Provide effective communication to internal and external customers on quality matters.
