Job summary

Tylent is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for its Food Enterprise, leading site capital projects at one of our corn milling facilities. You will develop engineering standards, plan, design, and oversee construction, commissioning, and start-up, ensuring safe, reliable operations.

You’ll apply strong project management, SAP proficiency, and fabrication process knowledge to optimize equipment and systems, resolve complex issues with minimal supervision, and drive quality through the project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience managing site capital projects.
• Experience with construction management, commissioning and start-up.
• Experience managing projects with budgets of $5M+.
• Experience with SAP.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and estimate time and cost, overseeing construction, commissioning and start-up of structures, facilities, systems and components.
• Analyze and develop solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures.
• Design and improve manufacturing processes, instruments and equipment, testing manufactured products to maintain quality.
• Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Job Purpose and Impact:

The Senior Project Engineer will manage, plan, support, and where applicable, execute engineering deliverables for site capital projects at one the company's corn milling facilities. In this role, you will develop and apply engineering standards and procedures, providing advice on issues within the engineering field.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5+ years of manage, plan, support, and where applicable, execute engineering deliverables for site capital projects.
• Construction management, commissioning and start-up experience
• Experience managing projects or portfolio of projects $5M+
• Experience with SAP
