Job summary

Bunge is seeking a Project Engineer for our Cairo, IL facility. The role involves design and construction of new projects and modification of existing equipment to improve safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

You will coordinate with internal teams and outside consultants to deliver projects on time and on budget. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3–5 years of plant operations experience, with strong skills in AutoCad, MS Office, and project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 3–5 years of plant operations, maintenance or safety experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCad, Word, Excel and Project.
• Knowledge of NFPA 36, NFPA 61, OSHA and EPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety activities and ensure facility safety requirements are followed.
• Design, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for new projects.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors; manage schedules and budgets.
• Develop equipment specs and bid packages; review project costs for savings.
