Job summary

Omya seeks an experienced plant operations leader to direct the day-to-day production activities in Dallas, TX. You will drive safety, quality, and productivity while managing inventory and operational costs.

The role requires coordinating shifts, leading maintenance and engineering collaboration, and implementing continuous improvements to meet customer demands and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people-management skills with a focus on safety and quality.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing and solving process-related problems.
• Proficient in written and oral communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage and direct day-to-day plant operations in the production department.
• Maintain zero lost-time injury record; enforce QSHE procedures.
• Provide leadership and training; conduct performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.
• Coordinate scheduling of production hours and personnel to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain finished goods inventory control and ensure equipment runs at optimum levels.
• Drive continuous improvement and report equipment availability, run-time and downtime.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations; coordinate maintenance requests.
• Generate production reports to support preventive maintenance and repairs.
