Job summary

Johns Manville in Fernley, NV is seeking a Production Superintendent to oversee manufacturing, quality and raw material management across multiple lines in a 24-hour operation.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of operational leadership in manufacturing, strong supervisory skills, and ERP/SAP proficiency; travel is minimal. You will mentor staff, drive safety and productivity goals, and collaborate with plant leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in management, engineering or relevant field.
• Minimum of 5 years operational leadership in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong supervisory and leadership abilities.
• Proven ability to diagnose/solve process issues.
• Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and travel 0–10 days/year.

Responsibilities

• Oversee product manufacturing, finished product quality and raw material management.
• Supervise resources to meet production goals; assist budgets and cost metrics.
• Develop material and labor usage controls and metrics.
• Plan and schedule work to maximize productivity.
• Use indicators to control product cost, downtime and expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with policies and product specifications.
• Maintain safety and environmental standards; support OSHA goals.
• May fill in for plant manager in their absence.
