Job summary

Roquette Laisa España SA is seeking a Plant Production Shift Supervisor in Gurnee, IL. You will lead the Production Department, supervise plant equipment operation, and coordinate safety and training to maximize safety and productivity.

The role involves overseeing utilities, boilers, cooling towers, and chiller operations, while ensuring adherence to SOPs and company safety programs. 24/7 rotating shifts with a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

BS degree or equivalent experience.
1-3 years in a food and/or chemical continuous processing plant.
1-3 years leadership and/or supervisory experience; 3-5 years preferred.
Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving facilitation skills.
Computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

Assist the Production Manager in day-to-day operation, providing leadership and direction for production units.
Supervise operation of plant equipment to maximize productivity and provide support to operators.
Act as main point of contact for utility unit operations (boilers, air compressors, cooling towers).
Ensure all employees understand and follow SOPs, plant operation, and equipment maintenance via training and control systems.
Manage routine and safety training for all operations personnel.
Complete performance reviews for all subordinates.
Process time cards, vacation requests, and staffing schedules.
Maintain good housekeeping in all plant areas.
Participate in plant safety programs, enforce safety regulations, and complete safety action items.
