Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a Production Manager to oversee day‑to‑day plant performance under the Plant Manager. You will be responsible for safety, production, maintenance, mining, quality, and cost control, balancing production with maintenance needs.

You will lead a team, ensure Safe Food initiative adherence, and drive continuous improvement across plant operations while aligning with corporate objectives and KPI targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance or equivalent leadership work experience in the field is desired.
• 5–7 years leadership experience in fast-paced heavy manufacturing/mining environment is required.
• Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and financial statements, including some P&L is heavily desired.
• Lean manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the most safe, efficient, and economical operation of the plant.
• Manage the plant in a manner consistent with the vision of Martin Marietta.
• Manage the output of the plant to maximize reserves and efficiently utilize plant assets.
• Establish targets and priorities for the plant to ensure consistent performance across KPI’s (mining, production, maintenance, quality and cost).
• Execute objectives at the plant consistent with company objectives; develop and implement a strategic plan; review results monthly and annually.
• Champion plant and community communications; communicate with all employees and establish the plant vision.
• Serve as a company representative to the business community and industry.
• Ensure consistent product and process quality; respond to customer demands; monitor performance.
• Budgeting: develop and control profits, plans and budget; assist with capital project requests; monitor manpower.
• Lead teamwork and development; mentor staff; provide direction and leadership; foster collaboration.
