Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a Production Supervisor for Hexacomb to plan and supervise the production staff, ensuring smooth operations, meeting production goals, and maintaining health, safety, and quality standards.

You will coordinate with the Plant Manager to manage daily and weekly schedules, train new hires, analyze performance, and implement improvements while optimizing resources.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to high school diploma required.
• 2+ years supervision in a manufacturing facility.
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime.
• Strong organizational, analytical, mechanical, and math skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across levels.
• Strong interpersonal leadership and teambuilding abilities.
• Working knowledge of computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise production staff to meet goals.
• Enforce health, safety, and quality procedures.
• Train new hires and retrain staff on equipment and protocols.
• Analyze production performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain clean, safe, injury-free work environment.
• Prepare management reports of production results.
• Coordinate with Plant Manager to plan daily/weekly schedules.
