Job summary

Veridos, a joint venture of Giesecke+Devrient and Bundesdruckerei, is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee plant production performance, efficiency, and schedule execution. You will lead a manufacturing team, monitor quality, manage costs, and drive continuous improvement across production departments.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing, strong leadership, lean manufacturing knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing plant environment.
• High School diploma required.
• 2+ years’ work experience in a manufacturing/operations leadership role.
• Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing practices, logistics, safety, quality, purchasing and materials management.
• Customer-focused team player with strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills; past leadership experience.
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing and Quality standards.
• Leadership skills aligned with company objectives.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication; service orientation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot production issues within departments.
• Supervise plant operations for the assigned department.
• Coordinate production activities to meet objectives on time and cost-effectively.
• Maintain production reports to monitor profits, plans, and budgets.
• Lead and develop the production team; address staffing needs.
• Communicate policy compliance and cost performance to management.
• Collaborate with HR on performance issues and discipline.
• Adjust schedules due to equipment failures or problems.
• Ensure shop floor organization and plant cleanliness.
