Job summary

DFA is seeking a Production Manager in the United States to oversee daily production activities, supervise supervisors and staff, and ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and quality standards while aligning with plant objectives.

You will lead HR-related activities, drive continuous improvement, and report KPIs to plant leadership, maintaining effective employee relations and adherence to policies in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years manufacturing experience
• Supervisory or management experience
• Knowledge of GMP and safety standards
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work with union contracts, if applicable

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operational activities of supervisors and production staff to meet customer requirements while controlling costs
• Analyze operations and metrics to maintain high quality and safety standards and drive efficiency
• Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are developed and maintained for all activities
• Report deficiencies to plant leadership and resolve operational issues
• Assist in development and implementation of safety programs
• Ensure understanding and adherence to regulations and policies by supervisors and employees
• Conduct meetings with department management to communicate policies and plans
• Maintain preparation for plant inspections and participate as needed
• Monitor inventory levels and authorize purchases when needed
• Prepare reports and records for management review
• Manage employees (recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation) and administer discipline
• Foster positive employee relations and effective teamwork
