Job summary

Ball Corporation in Pittston, PA is seeking a production/plant operations professional to oversee safety, inventory, and planning functions. The role coordinates with central planning, logistics, and sourcing to ensure on-time deliveries and efficient production of cans and ends.

The candidate will support food safety initiatives, manage warehouse operations, and lead continuous improvements within an on-site manufacturing environment. A minimum of 2 years in similar roles is expected.

Qualifications

• Broad training in a related field usually acquired through college or work-related experience.
• 2 years minimum job-related experience.
• Ability to operate and use a computer.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to negotiate with customers/contractors to promote ideas or concepts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment; conduct safety meetings and inspections.
• Support development and maintenance of the food safety system.
• Administer Production Control and Integrated Business Planning functions.
• Schedule production to fulfill customer requirements and shipping schedules; manage inventory levels.
• Manage plant warehouse functions and external warehouses; coordinate with Logistics, Quality, and Sourcing.
• Forecast raw materials like metal and coatings to Sourcing.
• Maintain inventory accuracy of finished goods.
• Coordinate with Order Fulfillment and Transportation to resolve delivery issues.
• Lead production planning for special customer segments and liaise with Ball entities.
• Support quality investigations as needed; follow manuals, policies and procedures.
