Job summary

Ecویyst Inc. is seeking a Plant Process Engineer to serve as the primary process engineering resource embedded in production operations in Hammond, IN. You will troubleshoot, optimize, and improve unit performance, leading MDC testing and VMC oversight while supporting PHA, MOC, PSSR, and safety documentation.

The role requires a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with 2–5 years of experience, strong data analysis skills, and proficiency with PI Vision, SAP, Enablon, and Excel.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering required; 2–5 years process engineering experience.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with PI Vision and Excel.
• Experience with production cost analysis (VMC) and optimization.
• PSM and PHMP familiarity; able to contribute to hazard reviews.
• Proficiency with SAP for reporting and Enablon for action-tracking.
• Ability to develop and maintain SOPs and read P&IDs and process manuals.

Responsibilities

• Monitor process data and track key variables across units; generate performance summaries.
• Troubleshoot production upsets and document corrective actions.
• Design and execute MDC tests with Operations; identify bottlenecks and improvement actions.
• Oversee VMC drivers; implement operating changes to reduce costs.
• Contribute to PHAs, MOC, PSSR, and PHMP documentation and reviews.
• Support KPI tracking and daily/weekly production reviews.
• Provide input for TA scope, startup, and ramp-up performance.
