Job summary

Covestro is seeking a Process Engineer in Indiana to provide technical support to unit operations, improving safety, efficiency, and profitability. You will own MOCs, participate in PHA, and support capital projects from design to implementation.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience and familiarity with DCS, SIS, or PLC and process historians. Strong problem solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with 3+ years of professional experience.
Experience with DCS, SIS, or PLC.
Experience with Process Data Historians.

Responsibilities

Monitor unit operations to identify deviations and support troubleshooting for safety, quality, and operability.
Own and document MOCs; provide input to MOC committee and train operators on changes.
Be a key member of the PHA team and complete assigned actions.
Assist Venture Manager in capital portfolio planning and represent the plant on projects.
Support DCS project work and coordinate with third-party integrators; maintain DCS/SIS hardware and software.
Identify opportunities for cost savings (yield, energy, waste).
Update and maintain P&IDs, DCS/SIS docs, electrical and equipment drawings.
