Job summary

Dauch seeks a Plant Engineer - Product & Process to lead design, development and optimization of manufacturing methods in an automotive environment, with a focus on machining operations and cost performance.

You will drive Lean/Six Sigma projects, develop process documentation, support launches from prototype to mass production, and collaborate with Production, Quality, Planning and New Launch teams to raise KPI performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar Manufacturing or Process Engineering role within the automotive industry.
• English proficiency at B2 level or above.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, safety and cost performance.
• Support product and process launches from prototype stages through mass production.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans, PFMEAs, Work Instructions and plant layouts.
• Drive cycle time reduction and productivity improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Provide technical support to Production, Quality, Planning and New Launch teams.
• Define and implement process improvement strategies focused on operational performance and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and improve key manufacturing KPIs related to efficiency, scrap, quality and cost.
