Job summary

Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) in partnership with USDA ARS Pacific West Area invites a full-time educational fellowship at the Temperate Tree Fruit and Vegetable Research Unit in Wapato, WA. Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Life Health and Medical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, or related fields.
• Experience with molecular biology techniques is beneficial.
• Familiarity with plant tissue culture is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage in collaborative research on Cherry X-disease interventions.
• Gain hands-on experience with plant tissue culture and molecular screening.
• Perform molecular diagnostics (DNA/RNA extractions, qPCR, RT-qPCR) and data analysis.
• Contribute to scientific communications and reports.
