Job summary

Wind River Environmental seeks a field technician responsible for disposal acceptance of sewage and FOG waste, plus maintaining equipment, disposal and operation logs at a septic and wastewater processing plant.

The base pay range is $17.00 - $18.00 hourly; final compensation depends on location, education, experience, knowledge and skills. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and pass required screens.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to successfully pass drug screen, medical certification, physical exam and road exams.
• Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
• Must be able to meet physical demands evaluation.
• High-School Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Disposal acceptance of sewage and FOG waste.
• Maintain equipment, disposal and operation logs in septic and wastewater processing plant.
• Monitor manifests and correct deficiencies with drivers.
• Operate equipment associated with receiving, headworks, etc.
• Maintain detailed operational logs.
• Monitor equipment for potential failures and perform minor repairs or adjustments.
• Perform plant housekeeping and routine maintenance tasks.
• Calibrate and document process instrumentation (Conductivity, pH, Temp).
• Collect samples for testing at in-house or external labs.
• Hook up and unload tractor trailers and pump trucks; perform sampling and testing.
• Perform and document daily plant process parameters and discharge volumes.

Position Summary

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $17.00 - $18.00 hourly at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all work with safety and compliance top of mind.
• Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
• Monitors manifests and corrects any deficiencies with drivers.
• Responsible for operating equipment associated with receiving, headworks etc.
• Maintaining detailed operational logs.
• Monitors equipment for potential failures and may make minor repairs or adjustments as needed.
• Perform plant housekeeping and cleaning
• Performing routine maintenance tasks like cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs on equipment, identifying and reporting potential issues to maintenance personnel.
• Calibration, cleaning and documentation of process instrumentation like Conductivity, pH, Temp and other meters and instruments as needed.
• Perform and document daily plant process parameters, testing results and discharge volumes etc. including collecting all necessary samples for testing at our in-house laboratory and outside laboratories as required.
• Hook up and unload tractor trailers, and pump trucks, as needed and conduct necessary sampling and testing and processing disposal tickets.
• Performs other related duties as required.

• You are regularly exposed outside weather conditions and non-hazardous fumes
• Must be comfortable working independently
• Interaction with customers periodically
