Job summary

Wind River Environmental is seeking an operator to handle disposal acceptance of sewage and FOG waste and to maintain equipment, disposal and operation logs in our septic and wastewater processing plant. The role requires maintaining safety standards and accurate logging of daily plant activities, with responsibilities including sampling and testing and basic maintenance.

The base pay range is $17.00 - $18.00 hourly at posting, with final compensation reflecting location, education, experience

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to successfully pass drug screen, medical certification, physical exam and road exams.
• Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
• Must meet physical demands evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Dispose acceptance of sewage and FOG waste.

• Monitor and adjust plant instrumentation and sampling as required.
• Hook up and unload tractor trailers, and pump trucks, and conduct sampling and testing.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks and housekeeping of the plant.
• Ensure safety and compliance in all tasks.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for disposal acceptance of sewage and FOG waste and maintaining equipment, disposal and operation logs in septic and wastewater processing plant.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $17.00 - $18.00 hourly at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all work with safety and compliance top of mind.
• Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
• Monitors manifests and corrects any deficiencies with drivers.
• Responsible for operating equipment associated with receiving, headworks etc.
• Maintaining detailed operational logs.
• Monitors equipment for potential failures and may make minor repairs or adjustments as needed.
• Perform plant housekeeping and cleaning
• Performing routine maintenance tasks like cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs on equipment, identifying and reporting potential issues to maintenance personnel.
• Calibration, cleaning and documentation of process instrumentation like Conductivity, pH, Temp and other meters and instruments as needed.
• Perform and document daily plant process parameters, testing results and discharge volumes etc. including collecting all necessary samples for testing at our in-house laboratory and outside laboratories as required.
• Hook up and unload tractor trailers, and pump trucks, as needed and conduct necessary sampling and testing and processing disposal tickets.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Work Environment

• You are regularly exposed outside weather conditions and non-hazardous fumes
• Must be comfortable working independently
• Interaction with customers periodically
