Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. in Fresno is seeking a Plant Operator to join a safety‑driven team focused on producing on‑spec products and maintaining equipment. You will operate production tasks, monitor instruments, and follow DOT and EPA regulatory requirements while upholding Tessenderlo Kerley’s safety culture.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• Technical, mechanical and operations experience desired.
• Good mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Willing to work an 8-hour day shift with some weekends, overtime and possible holidays; 12-hour swing shifts may occur.
• Must learn DOT shipping regulations and other transportation requirements.
• Must lift 50 pounds routinely.
• Must walk up to 1/4 mile regularly during the day.
• Willing to work overtime and be available for calls as needed.
• Must know basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks associated with production to make the on-spec product.
• Outside operation of manual valves and equipment.
• Reading and recording of local instrumentation.
• Containment, clean-up, packaging, and labeling of Hazardous Waste according to regulations.
• Implement Emergency Response Plan and assist in emergencies.
• Routine inspection of vessels and equipment to prevent failures.
• Assist in plant projects including maintenance, turn-around, lockout/tag-out, and confined space entries.
• Work at elevated heights and climb stairs/ladders.
• Perform other duties as deemed by management.
• Work outside in all weather conditions for extended periods.
